Royce Wood Studio is located in a beautiful old Derbyshire Mill. The Wheelhouse, Amber Mill in the Derbyshire Peak District, provides a perfect peaceful setting for Peter to design and create his trademark variegated ceramic glazes.

 

The historic Amber Mill was once home to the feamous industrial engineer and creator of the 'British Standard Whitworth' screw thread, Sir Joseph Whitworth. His innovations and technical abilities were instrumental in speeding up the progress of the Industrial Revolution.

 

Inspired by the Mill, the beautiful countryside setting and the efforts of the Mill's illustrous former resident Peter has created a stunning range of ceramic glazes unique to the industry and now available to architects and design professionals worldwide.
